Made It - Student Notebook labels

So I have loved reading everyone's "Monday Made It" posts at 4th Grade Frolics.  I want to work on being a bit more crafty, but I do love organizing.  I tend to label everything: my binders, student notebooks and folders, and the books in my classroom library.

I used to spend lots of time on the first day of school handing on sharpies and letting the kids label everything.  It took forever and there were always lots of mistakes.  Many of the sharpies never made it back either. So 2 years ago, I started buying printable Avery labels and printing out labels before the first day of school.  It made labeling student's stuff a lot faster and easier. Whenever I got new kids throughout the year, I could just pull out the labels and in a few seconds they were ready to go.

We labeled a homework folder, Social Studies folder, writing portfolio, reading journal, homework journal, and writing journal. You can download my reading journal labels template from last year here.  Just change it as you need it.

For the "Monday made it" for this week, I wanted to make student notebook labels that were a little cuter than my one's from last year now that I have discovered cute clipart. I also will be making labels for journals, binders, and folders.  But here is the start for this week.  These are in Smarty Kids clip art, but I also will be making them in owls, safari, and frog themes.  You can get them at my TpT store and just print them out on regular paper or the Avery labels that are 10 per page.

Update: I finished the journal and folder labels as well.  I made 4 themes: smarty kids, owls, safari, and frogs.  I think the frogs might be my favorite.
